Question of the Week

Do you have any pets?

John & I currently have several pets and have had numerous pets over the last 17 years of marriage.

I will starting with our current pets - oldest to newest.

First we have Dixie!  Dixie is a cat we have had for almost 10 years.  Not only is she a great cat, but she is very friendly and nice for an outdoor barn cat!  Here is Dixie...

Next we got our Sassy!  Sassy came to us through the county Humane Society.  We still can not imagine someone giving her up for adoption.  Their loss has been our blessing.  Sassy is one of the family, she brings happiness to us each and every day!  Sassy is  a Border Collie!  Here's Sassy...

About 1 year after adopting Sassy, we decided she needed a friend.  So, back to the humane society we went and there we found Daisy.  She too was a wonderful find - she is sweet, well trained and loves to be around us wherever we go.  Daisy is a Golden Retriever and is so cute!  Here's Daisy...

Last but definitely not least we adopted our 2 Cockatiels.  Someone I work with needed to find a good home for her two birds and of course I said "Pick me!!!".  I have always wanted birds but just never had any.  Our two Cockatiels are named Bogie & Becall. They sing beautifully and mimic John all the time.  Becall is the Grey and Bogie is the Yellow Cockatiel.  Here's Bogie & Becall...

Later I will post pictures of the pets that are no longer with us but will always be in our heart!

So what kind of animals do you have?  Or would like to have?

We currently have two cats - Nola and Lotus. We found them at an adoption fair when they were 3 months old. They are sisters but look nothing alike or anything alike their mother and other sisters.

They can be so naughty but so sweet. They are better than watching television!

I love that idea of posting all your pets. You have a cute bunch. We have only had two cats and a couple tanks full of fish. It's a great idea to keep their photos. It was three years in between cats until I gave into the kids wanting another one!
